GDPR and Fabricake Privacy Programme

Are you in?

In may 2018 an all-new regulation is coming into place here in the UK. Known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR to keep it short), this essentially gives you ultimate control over which companies you will hear from in a marketing capacity moving forward.

So what does this mean for you, our amazing customers?

Here at Fabricake we absolutely love sending you the best offers, newest product releases, free competitions, special discounts direct to your inbox. What better way to reward you for shopping with us!

If you want to keep receiving these delights - we need your absolute permission to do so your "explicit consent" (a phrase you will hear a lot of in the near future)

It takes less than 60 seconds to give us the green light. Simply click the button at the bottom of the page to confirm your preference.

Protecting our Customers' data

Protecting our customers’ data is a priority for the team here at Fabricake. With the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming into effect in May, we welcome the opportunity to deepen our commitment in the area of data privacy to new strengths.

We are making changes to our policies and processes to ensure that we comply with the Regulation and continue to put data protection first.

Your data will only ever be used for our marketing purposes, we will never share or sell your data.

What we are doing to comply with GDPR

As an organisation that handles our customers' personal data first hand (e.g. name, email and address of the end customers who buy from our website), Fabricake is committed to ensuring that we are compliant with GDPR.

Some of the steps we have taken and are taking include:

  • analysing all GDPR requirements against our current processes and policies throughout our purchasing journey and handling of your information
  • making changes to our products and processes in line with all requirements
  • training all of our staff on the requirements of GDPR and Fabricakes’ data privacy procedures.

If you have any other questions in regards to the GDPR please feel free to get in touch.
